Cognitive Conflict Strategy: Mathematical Representation Based on Cognitive Style

Kajian ini bermaksud untuk mendeskripsikan jenis representasi matematis siswa berdasarkan gaya kognitif dalam menyelesaikan masalah integral setelah diberikan pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif. Penelitian merupakan penelitian eksploratif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Subjek adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Halu Oleo angkatan tahun 2021 yang terdiri dari satu reflektif and impulsif. Data diperoleh melalui teknik pemberian tes wawancara, dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil memiliki diajarkan melakukan gambar atau geometri, verbal simbolik, serta penerjemahan berbagai representasi, yaitu geometri ke verbal, kemudian simbolik sebaliknya. Seandgkan, impulsif melakukaan geometrik tetapi salah, tidak matematis, representasi. This study aimed to describe types of students' mathematical representations based on the cognitive style in solving problems after learning conflict strategies. exploratory research used a descriptive-qualitative approach. The participants were two students Mathematics Education Department at Universit, class 202, consisting one student with reflective an impulsive style. data obtained through tests interviews, analyzed qualitatively. findings pointed out that performed images or geometric representations, symbolic as well translated various starting from then representation vice versa. Meanwhile, inaccurate but lacked translation representation.
